It has been a whole year since we released to you all a proper Podcast episode!! And what a year it has been! We have done so much locally to support men with their mental health. Even so much, that we have not had enough time to produce podcasts. Thankfully with growth you can expand your reach, something big on our hearts at Enlighten The Shadows. We were contacted by a Girls Football Manager at Greenbank FC in Lincoln to partner in November: Men's Health Awareness Month, We chatted with Carole Anne Simpson shared her journey and how we can reach lots of men connected with girls football in the Lincolnshire area. Our first ever time running as a group in Nottingham's Robin Hood Half Marathon, September 24th 2023. The lads came from all parts of the country who believe and feel supported by our men's mental health group. We decided to launch our campaign: You're Not Alone #yourenotalone for World Suicide Prevention Month and made this event our primary goal to reach as many people in one day with our message! We had some of our trustees in line for our charity registration attend also. We had a brilliant day, and many conversations to sign post men to our group who are struggling... The mission continues! Old school gym with plenty of free weights, bars, plates, boxing area and more is situated within the community at Radford working with various projects in the area.
Working along with helping to get youths off the street into training within the gym environment.
As special recognition of this we were officially opened by the Lord Mayor of Nottingham on July 17.
